I decided to do something a little bit different and make the first of many posts to come. Each month I will select one card at random and give you a little meaning towards that card and in a months time we will be able to look back and see how accurate it was. Believe in it or not, it'll still be fun to see what comes up each month and if not you can look at the pretty pictures.
This months card is the Seven of Swords. The Swords are the suit of intellect, conflict and power. Some months you feel like hiding away and curling up in a corner but you are forgetting that you are sat on your biggest weapon. Yourself.
When you feel like everyone is heading at you one after the other, stand up, be brave and keep going. Chances are that they feel just the same anyway. It is never as bad as it seems and you know that better than anyone but that doesn't stop you from imagining the worst. Give yourself a break and relax. Run a hot bubble bath, cosy up with a book and some tea whilst listening to your favourite album. Go on, treat yourself, you deserve to have a nice day too!
I'm really looking forward to doing more little posts like this so please let me know what you thought in the comments below! I'm really happy with this tarot deck and it's great to have an excuse to use it more often.

Rainy Days in Waterstones, Oxford |
- Tea. For the days when you feel like giving up and a friend takes you aside, makes you some tea and your troubles melt away. For the times when Tesco deliver 7 boxed of green tea to you for free because your mum must be their favourite customer.
- Meals out. On evenings where you are simply tidying and plan to do nothing other than finish tidying and watch Netflix but you receive unexpected phone calls inviting you to dinner.
- Netflix. See what I did there? When all you want to die is hide in bed an eat copious amounts of ice cream Netflix will always have your favourite tv shows to keep you company.
- Cats. You know those cats in the street that you meet for all of five seconds? They are my favourite cats. You look at one another, form a five second bond and then you both leave to carry out your lives. Those cats really describe the nature of a cat's independence.
- Art. I love making art, the people that make art and the people who love the people that make art. As a Libra I love feeling like I am part of something beautiful and what could be more beautiful than art? When you find it please tell me.
- The Unexpected. Some people fear the unexpected, I thrive in it. I love never knowing what could happen. Unexpected trips, friendships, relationships. Whatever is meant to happen usually does.
- Keepsakes. All of those bus/train tickets, midnight drawings and letters that you hide in a box under your bed. I love being able to look at my memories all over again.
- Common Ground. I am grateful for all the times I have been talking to someone and they have understood with perfect clarity exactly what I was talking about. Even if it was a silly discussion about a film, I didn't forget it.
- New Music. Not necessarily music that has just come out but music that is new to me really makes a difference. As much as I love listening to the same song on repeat for three days it can be really great to mix up my playlists once in a while and give something different a chance.
That isn't everything that I am grateful for but we could be here for a while so I think that will do for now. Until next month. I have really enjoyed writing this post and can't wait to make more like it.
If you would like to post in the Gratitude Linkup (please do) feel free to comment a link to your post. I'd love to see them! All of the instructions and the original poster are here!
Who else is more than ready for summer now? I'm sure it isn't just me! In England right now the weather has no idea what it's doing so every time the sun shines I can't help but cherish it. However, I don't want to sit around and sulk whenever there's a grey day so I thought I would make a playlist to brighten up all my days! Yes, okay I know that was cheesy but I think that we all have so many things we want to achieve this summer that we can hardly wait.
My Goals for Summer 2015:
I feel like writing things down where other people can see them will help motivate me to actually do the things I want to do. There's something about people wanting you to succeed that makes you want to prove to them that you can do it as well as yourself. My goals may not be the biggest but they mean a lot to me and I can't wait to achieve them. I plan to do so whilst listening to my pre summer playlist with a drink in hand.
Is there anything that you want to do this summer? If there is tell me your goals in the comments below. Maybe we can motivate each other!
My Goals for Summer 2015:
- Do more tarot readings
I think reading tarot has to be the only hobby (alongside writing) that I have come close to sticking at consistently. I love doing it and this summer I think I should be braver with it and learn to be more confident when sharing it with my friends and family. - Go to Reading festival
I have already booked the time off work and I will be buying my ticket on payday and I cannot wait! I've never been camping or to a festival before so it's like two new experiences in one for me. I have seen bands before but they were chosen by my mum so it will be amazing having the chance to see bands that I will really look forward to. - Sell some of my artwork
This probably depends more on whether or not anybody would like any of it enough to buy it but I'll never know if I don't try! My bedroom is running seriously low on canvas space so it would be amazing to think that I could make room for more without throwing anything away! - Go skateboarding
This one is harder than it seems for me. I've had a skateboard for about two years and I can almost count the amount of times that I've used it on one hand. I always feel like people are looking at me. I'm not sure why that's such an issue for me because people tend to look at me anyway (I think it's the hair). However, when I have skated I've really enjoyed it so I'm making a promise to myself that this summer I will give it another go.

This last few months or so have been kind of crazy for me so I'm sorry I took a little break from blogging but I'm back now as ready as ever. A lot has happened in my life, some of it I'd like to talk about and some it not so much but mostly I'm glad to be back!
Normally when things aren't going so perfectly for me I dye my hair. However, this month I went for a different route. I took the plunge and I had my nails done for the first time. I have to say I loved it, I actually begged my boss to let me have all three of my breaks at once so I could have them done. I'm not sure what shade they were done in but the nail polish was a beautiful blood red colour by Essie that comes out pretty dark!
I haven't just been away from blogging either. I practically took a weekend out of my life to go see my friends and get my head in a clearer place. I'm currently trying to convince my manager to let me go to Reading which is proving quite difficult. I'm not missing Metallica to fold clothes so one way or another I intend to go!
I'm beginning to realise how important it is to do things that you haven't ever done before. Getting your nails done, going camping, seeing a band, travelling alone. Anything both scary and exciting is worth doing (well, almost anything).
However, that doesn't mean that you can't spend some days sitting at home obsessively playing the Kardashian game if you want to. Well, I hope it doesn't...

I have just started reading Lord of The Rings: The Fellowship of The Ring and I'm really excited about it. I watched the film recently and I just knew that I had to read the book. When I've gotten through the book I'm looking forward to doing a review on it which should be great.
